This week, we celebrated the grand opening of a new Seniors vs. Crime office in Tampa. This new office will help facilitate more face-to-face assistance for Floridians in an area with a large and growing senior population.
As part of the grand opening celebration, we released the 2021 Seniors vs. Crime Annual Report. According to the report, last year, Senior Sleuth volunteers directly assisted nearly 8,500 consumers and obtained more than $2 million in recoveries, refunds and other financial relief.

This latest report brings the recovery total for the past three years to nearly $5.5 million. This is phenomenal, given that Seniors v. Crime is a volunteer operation. My hope is, that as this project expands the positive impact these Senior Sleuths will have on the communities they serve will continue.
I am thankful for each and every one of these dedicated volunteers. Their work is helping us stop scams, protect seniors and build a Stronger, Safer Florida.
