This week, I continued my Thin Line Tribute initiative in Perry to encourage and support the Perry Police Department. Our new initiative honors and recognizes the men and women who serve on the frontlines of law enforcement and often do not receive recognition for all they do to keep us safe.
My husband is a law enforcement officer and I love spending time with Floridians who choose a life committed to serving others and upholding the rule of law. These courageous individuals work tirelessly to protect us, and it is important, now more than ever, to lift them up and give them our undivided support.
I launched the Thin Line Tribute in May after a devastating year for law enforcement officers—both due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent increase in felonious acts against officers. Our officers do so much for us every day, and we should all show our appreciation and support for these brave Floridians.

We recognize the sacrifice and commitment required of everyone who wears the badge and swears an oath to defend and protect. I will always stand up for those helping build a Stronger, Safer Florida.
